  The Scoop

Mary Rosendale was born and raised in England and now lives in Southern California.

She was accepted on a full scholarship at UCLA and majored in Interpersonal Communications. During this time, she maintained a writing career in fiction and was published in a number of prestigious literary magazines. After graduation, she established a boutique Fine Art Dealership with a specialization in European Contemporary artwork. She discovered that she loved working with, and educating, small gallery owners and collectors.

She then transitioned to project management in the Corporate World. Her expertise was in business communications, mediation and dispute resolution. Her experiences both as an entrepreneur and an executive give her insight into the exciting, sometimes difficult, road of the small business owner and also allow her to understand corporate culture and politics.

She kept writing and began studying Constructive Living and practicing Zen Buddhism.

Working for the man had its advantages, but she started to notice that the one aspect of her work which was consistently fulfilling was connecting with people on an essential level and helping them to succeed. She was also looking for a way to express her deep interest in Eastern philosophy and Zen practice through her work.

She made her vocation her lifework when she founded "The Constructed Life" - a unique Life Coaching Re-educational Service which applies the discipline and spirituality of Eastern thinking to day-to-day 21st Century living.

In June, 2004, Mary was one of only four people in the United States privileged to undertake intensive residential training in "Constructive Living". She is now a Certified Constructive Living Instructor.  There are less than 300 Certified Constructive Living Instructors worldwide.  Mary is also a graduate of International Coaching Academy and is a Professional Certified Coach with a specialty in Life Coaching. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation  and is also a Certified Retirement Coach and is authorized to administer and interpret Retirement Options, the world's most prestigious Retirement Success Profile.

She works with people in transition (especially the mother of all transitions - Retirement) , individuals who are "stuck" , entrepreneurs, start-ups, beginning Coaches and as a Creative Coach for writers and visual artists. Because Constructive Living is adaptable to any life situation Mary does not limit her practice. If she has a niche, it is awareness and purposeful action.
